Founded in 1987 by John Tiegen in Fox Creek, Alberta, Prefurd Welding Ltd. initially focused on providing welding services.  Recognizing the immense potential in the oil and gas sector, the company relocated to Grande Prairie in 1995, marking the onset of its expansion.

As demand surged, Prefurd diversified its offerings to include pipeline construction, custom fabrication, and oilfield insulation. 

This strategic evolution propelled PREFURD into a leading contractor on major projects, earning a reputation for consistently delivering outstanding results.
